iPod nano turns pink

Apple on Tuesday introduced a new pink version to its third-generation iPod nano lineup. The new model is available in an 8GB configuration now for $199.

The pink nano can play videos and movies, music and games, including new iTunes Movie Rentals downloaded from the iTunes Store. It uses the same anodized aluminum chassis as the other iPod models, which remain available in silver, black, blue, green and a (Product) Red special edition.

Greg Joswiak, Apple's vice president of worldwide iPod product marketing, said the new model has been introduced for spring, and to appeal to customers looking for a special Valentine's Day gift.
