Motorola Z6c

Verizon Wireless today announced the availability of the Motorola Z6c World Edition, an eye-catching dual-mode GSM / CDMA slider. The slim Z6c adds global connectivity, comes with advanced mobile phone technology and multimedia features, and is available in Verizon Wireless Stores on Dec. 12.

For customers traveling within the GSM network coverage area outside of the U.S. provided by Verizon Wireless' global roaming partners, the Z6c gives customers on-the-go connectivity. Verizon Wireless's high-speed CDMA network supports the Z6c while it's in the U.S. and in over 22 other countries that use CDMA technology.

The Z6c features fast multimedia capabilities within an espresso casing with a high-gloss front and soft-touch back. For video and music, the Z6c can access VCAST Video for news, sports and entertainment video clips; and VCAST Music, which offers access to more than 2.4 million songs that can be purchased and downloaded over-the-air, directly from the phone. In addition, to fully-enhance the music experience, the Z6c supports stereo Bluetooth wireless technology and can be paired with a compatible Bluetooth enabled headset. The Z6c also features a 2.0-megapixel camera, a 2-inch QVGA display, and supports up to 4 GB of optional removable memory.

To use the Z6c outside of the U.S., customers should dial *611 ((800) 922-0204) from their Verizon Wireless phone to add global service to their calling plan before they leave home. International charges are $1.29 or $2.49 per minute for calls in over 180 countries, while international text messages are only 25 cents per message.
